Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County dedicates 10th home

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County celebrated the completion of its 10th home and its new owners during a dedication ceremony Nov. 4, 2018. The new home is located at 416 S. Vine in Maryville. Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County named Chandra White, a single mother of two children, as its latest partner at the conclusion of an application process earlier this year. Construction on the three-bedroom home began last spring, and White is purchasing the home with a zero-interest loan. Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County is a non-profit, nondenominational Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and invites people from all walks of life to work in partnership to build houses with individuals and families in need. It offers partner families an opportunity to help themselves, to own a decent, affordable home of their own, which they pay for and maintain.
